Following the release of her debut album Maleducada (2017) and captivating international performances in Europe (“Amsterdam Dance Event”, Paris, Madrid), Latin America (“Hermoso Ruido”- Colombia, “Frecuencias” - Chile) plus a recent opening slot for Ibeyi in Buenos Aires - ZZK’s first-lady of beat-making Dat Garcia’s single Anfibio (Amphibium) is given a sultry remix by New York City based Space People, oozing with jazz-inflected beats that sounds like the marriage between the Los Angeles beats scene with NYC hip hop swagger and soul.
Space People’s career as a collaborator has been unusually fruitful, maintaining a decade-long partnership with songwriter Gabriel Garzón-Montano with several releases to date, most recently the official remix of Mayer Hawthorne's "Lingerie & Candlewax." His track "Wet" was reworked with a guest verse by Nasty Nigel, while he's garnered critical acclaim for his production work on Chi'ren, (2016) EP from fellow Styles artists Quincy Vidal. Most recently, he served as music director for the debut live performance of Latasha Alcindor’s ‘All A Dream’ at Brooklyn Museum. And now gives us a spin to these Argentine digital folklore sounds from this eclectic songstress.
